Water for a city

Water for a City is a local history case study designed for use at KS3. It focuses upon the water crisis that Birmingham faced 100 years ago and the Council's controversial decision to bring water from Wales. Water for a City draws upon a wide range of historical sources to enable students to debate the key issues, and the approaches contain a strong 'citizenship' dimension. The pack consists of a teacher handbook and a set of eight photographs and can be accompanied by a set of student leaflets.
