Commonwealth Awareness?

The 2022 Commonwealth Games hosted by Birmingham provided learning opportunities about a range of issues relating to the Commonwealth, including its complex and contested history, how that links to contemporary concerns, for example, about racism, and views about its future.

This was also an introduction the Connecting Dialogues idea … with an approach to enable learners to engage with, and debate, these matters — without being overwhelmed by them, or pushed into taking sides [either way] based on a ‘culture war’ approach that involves very little learning.
